HVAC Inc., a Laval-based company specializing in building mechanical systems, and continuously expanding after more than four decades of experience and innovation, is currently seeking a Human Resources and Payroll Manager<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This permanent position will be effective as of September 1, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    Tasks and Responsibilities<\/h3><\/h3><\/div>

    Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration<\/strong>, the Human Resources and Payroll Manager will be responsible for:<\/p>\n

    Human Resources<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Participate in the implementation and application of human resources practices and labour relations within the organization;<\/li>\n
    • Take charge of the coordination and follow-up of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) committee, including planning meetings and implementing action items;<\/li>\n
    • Monitor files related to CNESST and occupational health and safety, and propose appropriate solutions to various situations;<\/li>\n
    • Advise managers and employees on matters related to working conditions, internal policies, collective agreements, and employee benefits;<\/li>\n
    • Interpret and apply laws, regulations, and principles of labour law in daily activities, particularly in managing labour relations and conflict situations;<\/li>\n
    • Coordinate performance evaluations and contribute to employee development and training initiatives;<\/li>\n
    • Participate in recruitment processes, support managers in hiring decisions, and coordinate onboarding of new employees;<\/li>\n
    • Develop and update job descriptions as well as certain elements related to salary structure;<\/li>\n
    • Maintain a positive work environment and act as a resource person for employees;<\/li>\n
    • Provide support to HR activities and participate in the training of HR assistants;<\/li>\n
    • Participate in organizing internal activities that promote employee engagement and mobilization;<\/li>\n
    • Maintain and ensure the proper management of employee records and HR information systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Payroll and Compliance<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Manage the full payroll cycle for approximately 140 employees across multiple entities;<\/li>\n
      • Prepare T4 slips and Relev\u00e9 1 forms, including tax considerations related to employee benefits;<\/li>\n
      • Ensure the accuracy of payroll data, benefits, and source deductions;<\/li>\n
      • Process government remittances, including those specific to the construction sector (CCQ) and the province of New Brunswick;<\/li>\n
      • Prepare Records of Employment (ROEs) and other required documentation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Engagement and Internal Initiatives (CSR)<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • Maintain communication with the main French shareholder by preparing CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) reports;<\/li>\n
        • Participate in the selection and management of the company\u2019s philanthropic initiatives in line with its social objectives;<\/li>\n
        • Support initiatives that promote an inclusive and respectful workplace;<\/li>\n
        • Contribute to the implementation of internal activities and best practices related to employee engagement;<\/li>\n
        • Raise awareness among employees regarding environmentally responsible workplace practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>

          Qualifications<\/h3><\/h3><\/div>
            \n
          • University degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Law, or a related field;<\/li>\n
          • 1 to 2 years of experience in human resources;<\/li>\n
          • Experience in litigation and management of CNESST-related files;<\/li>\n
          • Experience with payroll and CCQ collective agreements;<\/li>\n
          • Experience with Constructeur software is a strong asset;<\/li>\n
          • Experience with unionized plant payroll and New Brunswick payroll is an asset;<\/li>\n
          • English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>

            • Hourly rate: $34.87 \u2013 $35.90 ($68,000 \u2013 $70,000 annually)<\/li>\n
