HVAC Inc, a Laval-based company specializing in building mechanical systems, and continuously growing through more than four decades of experience and innovation, is currently seeking a Human Resources and Payroll Manager.
This position will be available starting September 1, 2026.

Under the supervision of the Director of Finance and Administration, the Human Resources and Payroll Manager will be responsible for the following:
Payroll
- Manage the full payroll cycle for approximately 170 employees across three companies, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
- Administer government remittances and construction industry remittances, including those related to the CCQ;
- Ensure the accuracy of payroll data, employee benefits, and source deductions;
- Prepare and issue Records of Employment and other required administrative documents;
- Ensure payroll processes comply with labour standards and internal company policies.
Human Resources
- Maintain and update employee files and HR information systems;
- Participate in recruitment processes, coordinate employee onboarding, and support managers throughout the hiring process;
- Develop and update job descriptions, job classifications, and salary structures according to organizational needs;
- Implement human resources and labour relations strategies;
- Coordinate and monitor employee performance evaluations and contribute to professional development and training programs;
- Follow up on CNESST files, occupational health and safety matters, and recommend improvements to existing policies and practices;
- Advise and support employees and employers regarding collective agreements and employee benefits programs.
CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)
- Contribute to maintaining a positive work environment and act as a resource person for employee relations matters;
- Implement or support positive action initiatives aimed at improving representation and inclusion within the organization;
- Plan and coordinate internal activities that promote employee engagement and motivation;
- Raise employee awareness regarding environmentally responsible workplace practices.
Qualifications
- Education in Human Resources, Administration, Law, or a related field;
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience;
- Experience with payroll and CCQ collective agreements is considered a major asset;
- Experience with the software Le Constructeur is considered a major asset.

Salary: Between $30/hour and $35/hour.
